Music Creator 2003 - Can't record audio.

Reinstalled Music Creator 2003 on new computer. Digital Sound Record doesn't arm when clicking the Arm button. Ie, the red light doesn't turn on. Works OK in MIDI.

    what's "Digital Sound Record"?

    what soundcard are you using?
when you reinstalled MC2003 did you let it run the wave profiler?  what outputs and inputs are selected on the audio track you're trying to ARM?

If the new computer has Windows 7 as the operating system, it probably will not work to your satisfaction.
I tried to install all my older Cakewalk software (MC 2003, MC Pro 24 and SONAR Home Studio 6) on my new W7 computer and the only one that 'took' was SHS 6.
And what is Digital Sound Record? I don't recall that from when I used MC 2003, but it's been awhile.
    Welcome to the forum.

I am selling my MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS, red and black. PM for more details.

Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR  X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.
    Everything is better with pie.

I was also thinking the W7 mismatch thing with the OS.

Might I recommend an upgrade to MC6?  It's designed to work on W7 32 or 64.

In addition, there have been some pretty sweet advances in the software since MC3.

That soft ware is about 5 years old now or more.... quite a bit of new stuff and nice sampled synths.... for the price, you can't go wrong with the new update.

    2011 - 2003 = "about 5 years?"
