Music Creator 5 and Ezdrummer - can't alter EZDrummer mixer before dragging into MC5

Hi everyone,

My struggles to get these two programs to like each continues.
At the moment, I can adjust the mix of the particular groove in Ezdrummer but when I drag it into MC5, my altered mix isn't recognised and I'm left with the original drum pattern. My understanding is that I can mix the groove to exactly what I want and then drag it over but that ain't happening.
Anyone got any suggestions on how to drag over a fully mixed groove?
Cheers,
Stecchino

how are you mixing the groove to what you want before you drag it?  do you mean alter the hits?  if so, no, you can't do it that way.  you have to drag it first, then open the PRV or Staff view and alter it while it's on the MIDI track in your project.

if you mean panning - panning in the EZD mixer doesn't change after you drag and drop grooves, it stays the same, so you'd need to explain that more since it shouldn't do that at all.

Beagle my man, you've done it again. Makes perfect sense now that you mention it. I was messing with the mix from within EZD (then dragging it over), not from within the plugin in MC5.
As for panning, I haven't gotten that far yet. Rest assured, I'll be back if I have any problems.
    Thanks very much mate.

great!  panning in EZD is easy!  if you have EZD set up for multiple outputs that's the best way to go, too, for the best control over different kit pieces.  to control the panning, just click on the MIXER on the GUI of EZD and it will open the mixer where you can adjust the panning of each output as well as select which kit piece goes to which output.
