Music Creator 6 - CWMC.EXE stopped working!

I have  Music Creator 6 on Windows 7 Home and am able to record audio and midi tracks fine.

However, when I tried to insert the Cakewalk Sound Centre soft-synth in an MC6 file, I got the "CWMC.exe stopped working" message and the program crashed. I tried several times but the problem persists even with a system restart.

Incidentally, this file already has about 8 audio tracks and also the TTS-1 soft-synth. And I don't get this problem when I create a new file without any audio tracks. Could this be the reason, perhaps there is a limitation on the number of tracks or perhaps I have to change some setting? Or is this just a coincidence and perhaps the problem is elsewhere?

Look forward to some help here!

Thanks :)

more details are needed.... computer specs and most important, the soundcard and driver you are using.

MC6 has limitations but you are nowhere near them.

Try opening a new project and start by inserting Cakewalk Sound Center first. See what happens.
