Music Creator 6 Roland Edirol UA-25

Hi,
 
I am trying to use the Edirol UA-25 USB audio capture device with music creator 6 but I can't get sound into the software (there is no volume  input in the vertical mixer when I play). Currently I have installed the driver for the USB device and have a digital piano plugged in to the front via a jack lead which is coming from the piano headphone output. I can hear sound from the box using the direct monitor function and in the input and output options for the track in music creator show the options I want such as LeftINUA-25 but nothing happens.
 
Hopefully someone can help me.

    Also the same thing happens with a mic and XLR lead.
