Music creation

Hi, I'm Mike and I'm new to the board!

I was wondering what is the best 'music creation' program out there, for less than £1000 that is.

    Depends on the method you are going to use. If you need to create with loops you would want a program designed for that like Project 5. If you want to be able to record audio and use loops, and midi / software synths. Sonar can do it all but it takes a bit more skill to put it all together.

    Exactly - it depends what you mean by 'music creation' - ie, what type of music & which bits?

    I want a program which already has samples, such as Fruity Loops, so I can put them together to make a beat etc

    Why not try Cakewalk's Kinetic? Then you can always upgrade to Sonar later.

    There you are, sometimes I compose music only using fruity loops 5 and my MIDI keyboard.

    [SONAR 4PE, Orion 5.5 platinum, Reason 2.5, Cubase SX, Vsampler, Antares autotune, Adobe Audition]
