Very cool products, both of them. Arguably the best of the breed.

Just don't set your expectations unrealistically high. If you want to play leads like the guy in the demo video, it will take a LOT of practice. It's not natural to hit notes on the keyboard to select articulations.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Never tried RealStrat, but I have RealGuitar2. If you're not a guitar player and have always wished you could record an authentic acoustic guitar rhythm track on keyboards, then look no further.

It comes with loads of midi loops as well, but I don't use it that way. I play the parts in realtime instead on keyboards.

It DOES take some getting used to. It's almost like learning a new instrument. Definitely a new technique for keyboards. You'll have to commit to a few nights of woodshedding to get really good at it. Once you get it sorted out, it's a great tool.

Check out http://www.try-sound.com/ , it's an online demoing site for vst-instruments.

Sadly very reduced studio equipment as it is... ASUS G750J, 8 gb RAM, Win8, Roland Quad Capture.
