Chuck, your brother would be proud of you for this. The song's terrific, and your lyrics and vocal are very poignant. I liked the way it began and ended with the scenes of you driving and singing. I lost the lyrics now and then, but overall this gets two thumbs up from me. Kudos to you bandmates, as well.

Nice song and video. The sound would have been just a bit better if the sonic dynamics weren't squeezed out of it in the mix though. Over compression in the final process can do that. I'm not knocking the song though, over all it was good.

I think the song was great, I liked the mix. There were some lip synching issues with the vid, but it is hard to tell the source. (could be youtube)

Really really solid. I think it would make a great 2:00 song.... I mean that sincerely... I am not trying to be a wise guy. You got it all done in the first 2 minutes. I think that you might leave a stronger impression with people if you play through the song quicker. Leave folks wanting just a little bit more. I might have hit replay. all the very best, mike

Thank you guys. I felt the mix I got here was fairly solid, and yes Danny did a bang up job mastering it out for me. It is compressed some but like the battle many fight in rock music... It had to be at least hot enough to be competitive. A double edged sword I know. Thank you all. I worked hard on this video too. It's time consuming as hell!

I reacted a bit on the that the verses didn't follow the right room I think with a little more reverb it will fit in better. By 1:15 it really rocked and everything was suddenly totally right. Good song good video - cool - Chuck

Cool job. As I say, I don't how you do music and learn video editing. I bet you can walk and chew gum at the same time! (Something that I struggle with.) Cool song and video, sounds really good, mix is clean and tight. Love watching the live show too! Daryl

Awsome job - great song, great mix, great master, great performance. I didn't think it was overcompressed at all. the transients are all preserved nicely. Very clear - no mud.

Great mix, great song with a nice build up to the chorus. I'd lose the shots of the passive audience in the vid.

top job...! Well written song, great job recording, mastering and in the video production. writing a song like that is probably the hardest thing to do. Chuck.... be proud, I know your brother would be, you did a superb job on that song. The band looks good in the live shots....I would love to hear you guys live some day.

Thank everyone for your time & for the kind words! I really appreciate it. Janet- Yeah it took a few weeks of nights and weekends editing down the footage and syncing the shots. We had 2 videographers & 3 fixed cameras filming that entire show (the one where most of the live footage is from). We also got a good (not great but good) live recording (1 stereo board mix & 3 condensers hung towards the back of that huge room) which I mixed the best I could and we will be releasing live videos with the live audio for those also. This song was important to me and I wanted to use the studio recording and make it more like a "music video". That is like someone said... an art in-and-of itself. Daryl- We will have the live stuff up pretty soon. And if you search youtube for Wallow Sound there is a few live videos from one of our very 1st shows. We were more of a cover band back then. but it is cool stuff to look back at. I think there is one with me Singing bodies from drowning pool, others with us doing 3 doors down (loser), and Remedy from Seether. Guitartrek- Thanks man! Danny- It was a blast & we will work together more in the future. Paul- Yeah, it something about that song, everyone loves it but there is usually more of a memorized dear in the head lights kind of reaction to it. They stop and pay attention to the words and the song itself rather than rocking out like they do for most of our stuff. It is weird, but I have watched it occur at gig after gig. Then after each show I get a couple dozen people tell me how touched they were by it and they felt it was our strongest song. But the reaction is always the same. Herb- Thanks man! Where do you live? We don't tour much currently. Wookie & Kev - Thanks guys. We try!

He had his demons that he fought... an on going struggle with prescription meds, we lost him to an overdose in 2008, he was only 27. No, it was not easy, especially because we were (as a family) just getting used to not having my father around, who passed away about 19 months prior to that at 50yr old after a 2 year fight with pancreatic cancer. After knowing that Dad was going to die & getting to say goodbyes but at the cost of watching him suffer, then losing Chris so suddenly with no warning, but no real prolonged suffering either... I can't say which is better way to lose someone close to you. Both are incredibly difficult to deal with in their own way.
