My 20 Features Request for SONAR PLATINUM
For my favorite DAW I would like: 1 - Fix the possibility of crossfading over non-overlapping clips 2 - Console meter - see in the console the implication of the effects of Compression and Limiter at the level of the meters (Like Protools or Studio One) 3 - Be able to change the tempo with the mouse wheel 4 - The recording count keep it in memory for all projects 5 - Fix bug to fold multiple tracks 6 - Recording activates monitoring (in option) 7 - Track tempo, have it rather in the rule for better visibility 8 - Correct the action delete an automation line (it does not work, it remains active) 9 - Hear the change of velocity (on the velocity lines in PRV, in Step Sequencer and wherever it is possible to change the velocity of a note 10 - Review the Drum Panel and have a Drum Grid (like Cubase) and disconnect it from PRV 11 - Review some interface. The GUI is modern now and there are still relics of the old versions of Sonar (I started with Sonar 2 XL ;-)) 12 - Can easily dissociate a mono audio track from a stereo audio track 13 - For stereo audio tracks have two panners for each channel like Protools 14 - Midi to Audio by simply drag drop (like Protools) 15 - Be able to draw midi notes with different velocities (like protools) 16 - Fix the display of the name of the VST plugins without having to go through "VSTPlugInNameFormat" 17 - Can change the default velocity in PRV 18 - Chord track like Cubase 19 - Tracks, Groups and Clips (Sidebars) like Protools 20 - lets you choose and bugs ;-)

Many of the items are already entered in the Bakery. Better to vote and comment on the existing requests and add only the new ones for others to add their comments and votes. Posting here will get buried quickly.

You are sure that this site is being watched by the developers of Sonar? I remain skeptical.

Of course they do. But this forum is a user-to-user self-help community, not a pipeline to the developers. A separate mechanism exists for making enhancement requests. I am intrigued by the "cross-fading non-overlapping clips" concept, though. That sounds like a contradiction, although I'm sure there's more to it.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

This is a message you have in Sonar, yet I have my two audio clips pasted that would like to apply a crossfade and I still have this message. On the other hand, if I overlap them the crossfade is done, it is either a bug or that's how Sonar works. It's still bizarre as a concept.

How do you mean? If the clips don't overlap there's nothing to crossfade, right?

Not sure I understand what message. Do you mean Auto Crossfade? I'd love them to return to original if I pull the clips apart again, like Reaper does.

I think the OP wants to crossfade audio that lives on two tracks. put the tracks next to each other and just fade each one separately not so difficult, really. I can see selecting two clips on different tracks and have a "crossfade" option not entirely unlike the functionality of "bounce to clips" except it just automatically crossfades the overlapping parts of two clips on different tracks.
