My 2.5 cents (or the first impressions on Sonar Platinum)

Hi y'all!

I joined the club and have tested the new version briefly.

First I had some reoccurring crashes but they seem to have been due to the fact that the new Sonar does not inherit the info about the VST folders. Once the folders were added back the crashes seem to have stopped.

So far I'm happy. The new Sonar is definitely 20-40% better sounding than the X3... No, just kidding, it's more like 50%.

I'm unhappy, though, about the Sonar-only VST's failing to work under the Blue Cat PatchWork (which is a wrapper-upper for using VST's in parallel).  Is it possible to iron this out? Pretty please.

Another thing. I'm totally lost with the bypass switch in the FX bin.

When is it on and when is it off??? Can't see a friggin' difference.

When it's on...I have a fairly bright blue light on the button... off...it basically looks off.  ALSO, the FX listed are greyed out when the bin is turned off.  Then they go to a bright white in the background of the labeling when on.  I'm just using the "stock" colors...so...not sure on your end?

It sounds exactly the same to me. What exactly sounds 50% better?
