Hi Mark. I made a comment in one of my threads about this - but wanted you to know that I've been listening and watched all of the videos - love them - awesome - count me in as a fan.

BTW - I've got a red PRS just almost exactly like they gold one you play - mine is an Artist Model.

Keep them coming - love it.

Thanks Mark!  I really appreciate your comments.

I bet you love your PRS.  Mine is a 1992 CE-24 that I picked up on ebay.  It looks gold in the video, but it actually is a clear amber maple top with red sides and back.  Plays like a dream and I love the tone.  The only thing I hate about it is the rotary pickup switch.  No way to switch pickups on the fly like I prefer doing.  Pretty much have to set it and leave it.  I plan to upgrade it with a toggle switch.

Mark, a lot of PRS owners change out the rotatary switches to toggles - would be easy to do.

Thank you Rimshot.  Can't beat a classic Marshall for tone.

Mark - that is really cool!  Good to see you performing this stuff.   I love the tones you are getting.  Makes me want a Marshall!  When you played this did you have the Marshall cranked?

Thanks Geno, glad you like it.  I have the Marshall on about 7 on each channel.  I have the channels jumpered (an old trick to combine the sounds of the bright and normal channel on the old 4 input Marshalls).  Then I use the THD hotplate between the head and speaker so I can get a comfortable volume.  Without the hotplate, I wouldn't be able to crank the amp past 2.  It's just too loud.  It's the device sitting on top of the head that lights in response to what I'm playing.  I use a Boss ME-20 foot pedal setup with compression and delay.  The cab is miked and recorded into Sonar and I later synch the video to the Sonar audio.

I tried all kinds of amps and sims but never got the tone I was searching for until I got a Marshall.  Now I own 4 of them.  The one in the vid is my most recent - a 1977 JMP MKII 100 watt.  It has the classic Marshall crunch and chimey harmonic overtones.
