My DAW died
It's all boxed up awaiting pickup by the courier now.
Total power failure - I tried to boot it up yesterday and zilch, nothing, yada.
Took the covers off and had a look inside but no sign of anything wrong - yes I swapped mains cable out for a known good one, switched on and the fuse blew.
Luckily it's still in warranty!!

Nothing major.
I did a backup recently and have only made a few minor tweaks to a couple of projects which aren't backed up.

What's the turnaround likely to be?
It's often that bit near the end, just after the second bridge but befor the final chorus. But that's not important right now. Did you remember to remove those "special" files from the HDD before you send it back?  You know, the ones with the sheep and hamsters...

Yeah, my brand new box Jon! Hopefully it'll be back within the week. Luckily, I have my old DAW sat around gathering dust, so I plumbed it back in this morning, and I also have X1d installed on my downstairs desktop, though I don't have an interface for it (yet)

I've just heard from them.
They've confirmed that the PSU is dead, have fitted a new one and are currently stress testing the system.
If it passes this test they'll ship it back to me tomorrow <yippee>
Herb if they do that I will be mildly annoyed, to say the least.

600W for that spec PC is quite low IMO. Do you use a separate PSU for your Saffire?
