My Day 3 on X3.
1 crash from a rogue plug in that I never used before anyway (was some kind of broken valve freebie - now deleted)
Asides from that its been a MARVELOUS experience!!
I'm usually one to laugh at you colour boys but I spent ages setting up a nice template, all colourised and icons loaded and its so much easier on the eye...
The comping has been flawless for me, and IT REALLY HELPS with workflow, take lanes were sketchy to say the least in X2a and comping is a VAST improvement and has helped me work far more at ease with my instruments rather than worrying about the DAW.
The Quad EQ is equally as fantastic, seriously great, having a visual to work on as well as my ears and ideas has again improved workflow massively.
Tape saturation albeit subtle and used wisely is a very warm sound.....
CPU activity has been the same as X2a so no noticeable difference there (on this PC anyway)...
I have just compared a couple of songs from my last album written on X2a to this current song in session and although not a huge leap is a substantial one.
Very healthy experience thus far.
A Very Happy Sonar day today.
