    That's even better.  The door's so far away that I wouldn't even have to ignore the knock 'cause I wouldn't hear it!

    yup, that's my whole problem..... big old house.... (emphasis on "old")..... not a modern "open" floorplan, so knocking doesn't get heard very far.....
