My First Gobo

Signed by the artist... my daughter.
 
In case you can't read it, she wrote...

Hi! I helped! If you forget DAD!. Fiercat Megan Switz 10

10 is her age. I'm pretty sure Fiercat was meant to be Fire Cat, but who can say with an artist.
 
She picked out the fabric. Initially we went with one with horses, but it had holes burned in it so we returned it and swapped for this. She thought the Red White and Blue would remind us we did it on election day.
 

In this image, you may notice Sonar X1 Power and Sonar 7 Power on the second to bottom shelf on the right.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

    She's aiming to use it for forts (the gobo). She's very into military. We visit spy museums. Museum of the Marine Corps. She loves strategy. How many men you have to have to storm a castle. All that stuff. She practices karate and archery and her favorite BDay present was a custom made camo cloak. Neither her mom nor I have ever owned a gun or been in the military ourselves. This is all her.
     
    I should add that recently, she said that when she grows up she wants to be a small business owner, a principal or Bono. ;-) haha
     
    This is a change from Lawyer. She wanted a career that would allow her to have a helicopter pad on her estate.

    It's great when your kids help out with projects, but it worries me that a 10 year olds first thoughts on the colour of some fabric are "politics" rather than "that's pretty..."

    We'd just come from the polls which we bicycled to together -- so politics were on her mind.
     
    She had the day off school b/c her school is the polling place.
     
    And I had the day off work b/c she had the day off school.
