I can only say what I feel when I listen to any music:
Very tedious original track that can't be escaped in this remix.
Makes me want to drive into a pole.

I`m not sure how to take this comment? Driving into a pole definately can`t be a good thing.

Sounds great - very nicely done!!!   The drums sound aweseome - are those recorded live?   The bass is kller.  And then the guitars - man - such great tones!  I love the different time signitures.   That section at 3:00 sounds massive.  Can you describe the signal path on some of your instruments?  That percussion at 6:00 - what is that?  It kind of reminds me of the old shakti recordings.

Enjoyed all 8:40 of it.  Drums are way cool in a jazz kind of way.  Mix sounds great as well.  Nice job.  I guess this is some kind of mix for a contest?  How much of this is you?  Don't know the song.

Yes, it's not a good thing. The original track is very tedious and depressing to me. I had thoughts that the musicians are severely depressed, possibly addicted to heroin and may take their own lives soon. Just my impressions from what I hear is all. I'll shut up now.

Can't say as I know the original, so it's hard to comment on the remix part.  But, just listening to it as a mix, it sounded very well done.  Glad to hear you're enjoying X1.  I've had it in the box for months, but have yet to install

Thanks Gino...Well I have to say it`s the Pro Channell in X1 Pro that makes the difference. Signal chain for drums was comp, Eq , saturate with a send to the standard cakewalk reverb and a send to the VC-64 drum buss comp. The Guitars and Bass I ran through Guitar rig 4 and then to a delay buss. That percussion instrument is a TABLA...I got the Stems from Indaba fo a Remix contest I entered.

Never heard the original Alan, but kinda reminds me of some of the 'acid rock' I used to listen to back when, blended with some Ambient vibe. Loved that middle section. Drums are well done, and I like the tempo changes. bass sounds good. but ,for some reason, I wanted to hear it punch thru a little more to keep in balance with the percussion.

    Good luck with the contest!!

Sorry for the hi-jack Alkie, Radio, the reason I did that to my status is that "the person who called himself Bobby?" For starters said we (everyone who called him Bobby?) were idiots if we thought that was his real name? Additionally, he chose to make one of his famous "come backs?" On a thread about Jimmy who passed away recently and was loved and will be missed by many... Death is hard enough when people are taken in due time, Grandparents? But when one is taken so young, it's such a tragedy... And for that twisted "what rhymes with suck?" to make it about him, as he always does? Well it's just a step too far this time... It is  pathetic...

And you've tried to communicate with it? LOL! Yeah I tried to reach down to it... So did Janet? So have you? So have many others... "It is sick?" You don't understand. I am not the sanest person on the forum? I'm "different?" I acknowledge that, and I embrace it... But I'm not crazy? Just different. "IT" is in fact crazy... It may choose to kill me; as the person who assassinated John Lennon? It is, as I've said "crazy" and therefore dangerous... It should be advised that I am a very hard target... I mention this because it said it is in proximity to me, I'm outside of Atlanta? And it said it was in the Atlanta area (North GA) but it lies, so who knows? So as far as I know, it could be in Vancouver... But it is crazy enough to attack? I'm just saying... People call each other crazy all the time? This thing that called itself Bobby? Is insane... "Silence of the Lambs insane?" Hannibal Lecter, "Chianti  and Farva Beans insane..."

OH PLEASE NOTE! It will try to communicate with you? It will do so under one of its many aliases? It will apologize? It will "seem" sincere? It will blame me, and perhaps others? Did you see the Terminator? When the Terminator could speak on the phone, and simulate someone else? To get information? Same same... It will reach out to you, and it will try to convince you that it is not insane, and that there is a big plot against it by me and others?

It is "at least" two people here, and I believe it is many more...

It can't be reached by e-mail because it is paranoid? And when I say it is paranoid? I mean, "clinical..." As in, "they're out to get me, and they're monitoring me, and chasing me paranoid?" Paranoid as in, trying to hide its IP address? As in, "black helicopters?" I say this from experience? I've communicated with it via e-mail and listened to it tell me how it hides, and why? It is not well...

When I say it is crazy, I mean it is not a normal person by your definition, mine? Or anyone elses... It can appear sane, for periods of time? However, this is a ruse? And it will not last.

You can recognize it with a few simple clues.

    1. It's not very smart? It struggles with very basic English... Its IQ is well below 100... So IT will try to hide its identity by posting very short comments, "good job," "way to go!" "I agree!" etc... We all do this from time to time? But it will do this often, because it is a moron... "at best!"

    Q RangeClassification70-80Borderline deficiency50-69Moron20-49Imbecilebelow 20Idiot

    2. It does not post its music? Because it has no real talent? And its music is EASILY identifiable...

It should be pitied... It should not be tolerated, or accepted. It is sick, and it should be shunned. And when I say sick? I mean it, "mentally ill.." It is textbook, clinical, psychotic... It is not sane by any definition of the word. And it does live here as "multiple" handles...

**Again, Alkie, I apologize for the Jack, I just couldn't do it on Jimmy's post :-( Won't happen again.

Thanks James, Yes you`ll be happy when you get that computer up n runnin with X1... Believe me I am!!!!!!!

Yea I will be happen indeed , right now again as I'm finishing up with my newest song today my Project 5 has been crappin out on me big time !
Right in the middle of recording a cymbal track my Project 5 DAW screen suddenly started blacking out on me to the point where it almost died on me I was thinking .

It did the same thing on my last to songs too , as soon a I reach over thirty recorded tracks thats when things start behaving really weird .
Maybe my computer was starting to go in ovberload working with more then thirty recorded tracks .

Oh man I'll be so glad to get my new conputer built , right now sitting in a box I have a nice new computer case , six extra cooling fans to install  , a AMD ASUS Motherboard , a AMD Phenom II Multi-core
3.4 true Quad-Core Processor plus a new ASUS DVD burner .

I'm still waiting to buy a new 500 GB hard drive before I start building it .
I bought the same thing for my wife , I have been buying parts as I can afford to buy them .
Hopefully by Nov. of this year  I will have both running with the new Windows 7 installed .
I'll wait alittle bit longer so I have the new Windows 7  , I don't want to install my XP 32 bit Professional in my new computer rig .
I want the new Windows 7 64 bit Professional , if it takes me till Christmas then so be it , its will be worth the wait .
I started buying new computer parts back in Feb of this year , anyway one day at a time but soon this year I will be cooking with the new Sonar X1 .

I'm glad your enjoying your Sonar X1 , your songs sure sound great !

for it is a human number...
    it`s number is.....

So if JESUS rose from the DEAD

This is superb, Alan.  Love those drums and bass.  The mix sounds very good and the verb on the drums sounds perfect to me.
    Good luck with the contest!
