My Halloween Tune

Hi guys and gals!

I'm sure many of you have heard this one before but it's my one and only Halloween tune.
It all started with me playing around with my DR-880's drum and bass sounds when I first got it. Then I came up with a bass line to go with the percussion and the rest kind of fell into place.

Sorry you can't hear the bass. Could be my crappy mixing. Thanks for listening!

nice orange and black kitchen sink!

good parts all around - maybe the kick drum is a little too prominent, not in the mix, but in how often I'm hearing it. A less busy pattern might help the other elements come forward more.

I enjoyed hearing the DR-880 but on my speakers the *hi-hat sound* was way to prominent.  I have crappy speakers.  I mean it was way in front of the image.  Might be my set up.  I really like the song.

    dig this one jammer!

    i remember it before,
i dig listening to all the 'halloween' tunes...

agree about the hats and kick,
and maybe you just need to finesse the eqs a bit more, and find where the bass sits best at low volume,
    but the performances are great

Thanks guys! I don't have the individual tracks anymore but perhaps I can EQ the entire mix to help with the kick and hat.

Very cool...   it's got the vibe and all the right ingredients, yet still stands on its own as a "normal" tune with an identifiable melody.   Err, make that normal-ish.
