My KETTLE died

And I just realised I don't even have a back up!

I had to put some water in a pan on the stove.

I'm coping,....but barely

I think the Pot calling the Kettle black was the start of the problem........

    I suspect suicide.

Ms Bapu has one sign in the kitchen that says "I Kiss Better Than I Cook" and another that says "I Only Have A Kitchen Because It Came With The House". And she's not from the UK, so I think kettle maye be a foreigner word to her too!

Nah, it fixed itself in the end.  Operator trouble I think, this is why I insist on having it made for me.  Too much can go wrong when I get involved.

As Strummy suggested it was a clear case of neglect, I shouldn't have even been in the kitchen.

This is why you can't beat an old school stovetop kettle. There's nothing to break. Also being made of steel you don't get that plasticy taste.

My mom has one of these new ones that doesn't go on the stove where you put the water in, press a button and in VERY little time you have boiling water.  I might have to get one myself eventually, it's a LOT faster than either the stove or the microwave.

I read this and I thought of a Frasier episode where Niles is talking to a distraught Maris on the phone.  She had inadvertantly taken a wrong turn at home and had ended up in the Kitchen and was completely lost.

My random TV memory moment has passed now.  It's safe to roll your eyes and say, "Whatever..."

It didn't get lost in the aether either.
