My Latest Song
Well I finally got around to posting a song on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/hangdog-cat/anything-for-you I had been been wanting to try writing "topline" for a while, iow writing lyrics and melody to completed backing tracks, but I don't know any producers. So recently I decided to try writing topline to a construction kit of loops. I found a kit I thought I could write to, and what you hear is the result. I added piano parts via EZkeys...a great program. And I chopped up the loops to add a tag ending. Other than that and the addition of reverb, compression, my not-so-golden-eared mixing, and of course my vocal, things are the way they sounded in the construction kit.

A very sweet song, nearly perfect pop. Great vocals, great lyrics and a really well constructed song all around. Good work!

Thank you for your kind review of my song. I'm especially happy with the way the lyrics worked out.

Nice song. Lead vocal seems a bit squashed to me and maybe just a tad too high in the mix. Just a personal preference.

Most Honorable Esteemed Bapu: Thanks for your input. I think both points are valid. I do tend to have a heavy hand with the compression. And for demos I tend to bring the vocal way upfront.

Nice track, guitar is nice and clear, particularly liked the percussion, something different from the usual hi-hat/kick/snare combo. Good mix

Holy crap that guitar is very well presented!!! Love it. The feel of your tune is simple and wonderful - I wouldn't change a thing. Except the ending, which is abrupt - how about an outtro jam with a nice fade on it? cool tune, thanks! -Tom

Nice job! Lyrics and vocals are well done. Mix-wise I might back off the compression a little since you have some breathing room, and maybe add just a touch of reverb and/or delay.... but still leave it fairly up-front.

Another new contributor, to me. Nice. I agree with Bapu on the vocal volume, but I got used to it and it fit. Nice playing and singing. I look forward to more.
