My Little Song Of The South

Here is one I wrote a while back and recorded in X1 I believe. Critiques are welcome . It is just a recording I made for myself, not intending to put it out there for the masses!

Yep! Thought though that it could use a little more low end. But other than that it sounded fine.

Thanks spacealf for listening and commenting. I think it could use a little more low end too. Will do that when I remix it.

I like it teego …..it has a nice greasy type of vibe and sound going for it ...
if you happen to remix this song , I wouldn't mind hearing a little more Kaboom and dirt on the supporting music underneath the vocals ...

+1 on the kaboom and/or a more defined, hard hitting bass, and you might consider a 'fatter' snare on that ending section?

+1 on the vibe, you got it going on in spades. I liked it a lot. I'm a real sucker for slide guitar, I also really enjoyed the drum/vocal section at the end.

Well, it sound like a pretty cool southern vibe kind of thing that your recorded not wanting to put out there for the masses, like you said. But, I liked it and others did too. Those deep vocals hurt my lungs though, that must be why I don't sing much. Nicely done.

Monty, I like the song and the mix on this.  Your voice is perfect.  You really do a great job of matching the voice and the song.  Kudos!

Pretty cool Monty! Yes, it could use more bottom, but don't lose the high end when you add it into your mix. There is some nice movement with the hi hat and the air on the vocals is perfect.
