hey man thanks for the reply !

Thats kinda just the way ive ended up singing rock stuff Ive never really sang before untill I started to learn to record so I am learning how to sing aswell i guess.

I am open to all sugestions please on the vocals as it is the one thing I struggle with the most give me drums or a guitar and i would play all day but give me a mic to sing in to and I really struggle :(

Thanks for the kind words :)

Ha - totally understand that. I'm a guitar player much more than I am a singer. But, I did find these warmups to help a lot:

Especially the last few - he puts the warmup into a song, basically, making it really easy to remember (and you don't sound like a freaking lune to other people around you like other exercises). XD

Not really a style I spend too much time listening too to be honest, but I thought this was pretty good other than the kick drum.  Never would have guessed you're a drummer - lol ! Makes it a bit hard to listen to though.

That aside I think you did well and your voice is fine - really ! I'm not keen on mine either ( though I'm prolly not alone on that score lol !) I think most people are prolly the same - takes a while to get used to hearing yourself. In the end I just thought, to hell with it I'm all I've got so have to try and make the best of it and thanks to encouragement of the good folks around these parts it doesn't bother me any more. Never seen anyone here knock anyone for having a go (well maybe one or two in the past, but thankfully they seem to have moved on now) so just go with it, keep at it and you'll do fine.

Thanks man!
Yeah I agree about the kick ive said above I was abit pissed off with the end result on other systems the kick sounds ok and I can hear the bass on my Tapco S5s in my room just fine and it was ok

Once I checked it on other systems the bass was not anywhere to be found and the kick was just slaping me in the face haha

Ive jusst done some accoustic treatment on the room and bought a new set of KRK rocket 8s that I am over the moon with

I plan to do another mix on this and get it right

Practice makes perfict and all that type of thing :)

I was exactly the same as you in the vocal department I just decided one day to hell with it Ive always wanted to do a solo album and I will just have to deal with the way my voice sounds ( I dont belive in auto tune though I feel if I cant do it live I shouldnt do it at all but thats a story for another thread :) )

Thats what I have found about every one here they have all been so nice and helpfull and I cant thank everyone enough this is a great forum !!!!

you need to be a happy Norrie...You have done a fine job for just spending 6 months playing with the studio toys... You have a natural talent of bringing the things together..yeah the mix may need a tiny bit of tweaking, but overall this is great for the genre....good job !!!
