My bracelet is mediocre.

It's just a simple 24 ct. gold chain.

Ask McQ. He knows.

Then ask Mooch. I'm not sure what he knows, but he's appreciate you asking anyway.

I started with a 16 ct. bracelet... and I polished it really really good. No one could tell it wasn't 24 ct.

But then I learned about even more carats... and then I realized that specular highlights in my 16 ct. gold reflections were all blown out.

I finally switched to 24 ct. gold and now the reflections hold detail so much better.

    best regards,
    mike

You need to move up to 32 floating point carats, 64 may be overkill unless you are dithering down to a lesser alloy.

Have you considered 96 ct. vermiel? All the shine and less of the cost. Just wonderin'...
