The box doesn't come with a serial nr. You just have to use your download serial nr.

I got mine today and I received the same thing as well. I did not expect that. What a great surprise. I wonder if the stuff in there is part of the loops and one shots? Planet earth with the strings, TH2, auto zoom, breverb. Rapture, and much more. Wow 99 buck upgrade is a real no brainier.

Mine just came (1:45pm Friday) FedEx in northwestern lower Michigan, up by Sleeping Bear Dunes Nat. Park. ! I got a DSF EMU Proteus PX-7 drums and percussion dvd gift! This is a pleasant surprize. I used to own a Proteus 2500 rack synth, though I don't know if the library is from that era. The more the merrier! Come to think of it, I had Miroslav Orchestra on one of the banks. I just got Miroslav Orch again with the Total Studio 3 bundle deal, which I was mostly wanting AmpliTube 3, so all the rest was a bonus.

Totally in agreement here, this is the kind of posturing that makes me stay with Cakewalk...I got mine today even though I ordered the download and have been using the program...to get an additional gift just shows a customer focused company that I have no problem supporting... cowboydan

I'm using SOnar Platinium on a 6 core Lynx Audio machine and a ton of vintage pre-amps/eq's/comps I build for fun and sometimes money, REDD.47/API/Neve I also use the UAD stuff, and also use a Macbook Logic 9 through Apogee...

Got my box today, too -- Orange County, California here. I was also surprised by the "mystery gift" of the E-MU Proteus - Mo' Phatt collection of sounds for Dimension. Thanks.
Many years ago, I'd purchased the E-MU Module Mania collection, which was 5 CDs of Proteus sounds in Sound Font format, with one called Planet Phatt, which I think may be the same basic collection of sounds, among them. I haven't used Sound Fonts in ages, though, so it will be cool having this collection sit under Dimension Pro.

um... okay, I hate to bring this up again but I bought the X1 Production Suite back in may for the full retail price of $500 (plus tax and shipping). The next month you guys ran the $400 Suite special. Shortly after that the free upgrade to X2 special... so that's an $200 extra I've paid already for buying a month or two too early. I got in on the presale thinking I'd at least be getting the free DSF strings (which isn't really anything I needed or would have bought but whatever) and that might even things out... but then found out that was getting handed out to pretty much everyone. Now those buying the box are getting a freebie. I know it comes down to poor timing on my part but goshdarnit I'm feeling a little left out of the deals here, guys. :-(

PS: X2 is pretty slick though so no regrets. I just wish I had that extra couple hundred bucks to drop on some other stuff I actually need... like the full TH2 or maybe the Concrete Limiter.

Box and mystery gift in hand! Found the FedEx note on my door saying "box left at front door" ... only no box. Checked the back door ... nuthin'. Then walked back to the car and noticed something under the front porch. WIth 3" of ground clearance I may have never seen it till next spring. First time he's done that. Thanks for the mystery gift clarification Andrew. Was about to call and say I didn't order it. Sounds like everyone's getting the same thing so I guess trading's out of the question.  As I recall, X1 box didn't come with a mystery gift so either I missed out or this is something new. Steve
