My first Live experience with the JTV-69

I took the Variax JTV-69 out to play yesterday. I sent the variax output into the POD HD500 and the 1/4 regular guitar out to a TC Electronic Nova. The 1/4" out also had acoustic emulation on it. I had the variax set on an acoustic Martin setting(the bridge acoustic setting). The plan was to get a little grit from the pod and control that with the pedal and the nice clean acoustic tones over The Nova which also had a volume pedal control.

I sent both boxes via 1/4" stereo line outs to the built in mixer of my mini 8 channel 12" PA which doubled as a stage monitor.Everything was summed to mono in the Mini PA.

From there I took a line out from the PA box into a stage DI box and on to the big PA system. I would have preferred seperate channels on the big PA but they are short of channels.

After balancing the mixer I had things sounding pretty good and was happy overall with everything. The whole thing went well until I accidentally stepped on a foot button on the POD that changed my clean setup into a high gain driven distortion sound. It was loud.........  luckily since it was at the beginning of a song, I had a chance to explain what happened and it all went well after that.

So the only problem was human error.......

    I hate when that happens.

It will probably happen to me 123.9798876987 times in the first day or so.

This isn't to be confused with that boost pedal you conveniently leave off until after the sound check, roight?
