My first Music Video
[tube][/tube]https://youtu.be/WZv1lUBej7Ior http://www.cactusmusic.ca/videos Well back in the spring I was looking for a video editing app and of course all roads seem to lead to ( Sony) Magix Vegas. I tried the demo and then received an offer for the Platinum version for only $39 Can. I forgot I had even bought it until last week-- my first attempt I just thought I'd grab an old song and see what you can do. I just used junk of the internet that sort of matched the lyrics. The song was recorded in my old studio with just me and drummer Mike Northcott jamming a groove out. This was my 8 tack MD8 days. I then added bass line and built from there coming up with the lyrics almost last. One day I was playing with my Mutron Auto Wha and the lead part you hear was the first take. Right at the end of the song it disappears as someone came into the room and interrupted me. [tube][/tube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZv1lUBej7I&t=44s

Great groove and funky song. Good first video attempt. I particularly liked the trolls hanging out of the train windows.

Thanks everyone for positive feedback.. Oops, I forgot I posted this here as I also put it on Facebook where it's been a zillion comments too. So sorry about not responding sooner. It seems nobody ever paid attention when I just posted links to Soundcloud. People seem to want the video with the song. So Now my winters work is to figure out how to make a video for all my songs. ( 189 songs!!!???) I just played a gig for a Christmas party and I ran two video camera's. I'm just playing with the results now and will release one of the songs shortly once I overdub a better audio track using the original Cakewalk project. The live audio recording was the typical distorted mess but is good enough as a guide track to sync things up. Really enjoying Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 14.0 and what it can do. Highly recommend it if you want to take your music further. You can try the demo for a month I do think.
