My first ever iLok issue
I cannot install the latest 3.0.1 driver update. It keeps looking for an appdata file/directory entry. I cannae be arsed to find out why. I am not having any problems with 3.0.0 so until I do, I'll just stick with 3.0.0.

Actually I was making a comment, but then realized I probably updated already with no issues. but I'm not at my machine. So I have no comment. This is an unnecessary reply on my part. And verbose for saying nothing. No light to shed on the subject I'm afraid.
Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

May I suggest "Run As Administrator" for the installation, just in case you didn't. On Win7/8/10 that's generally required for system services.

cclarry Mine did the same thing Baps...just go on...it installs just fine...
Maybe we are not seeing the same thing. I cannot go on. It wants a specific named folder that contains the .msi, that is not there (the folder is not there). I have an alternate folder with the .msi and if I select that one it tells me it can't find the (original) named folder. Then I can either continue to locate the (non-existant) folder or cancel. I cannot "just go on". Therefore I am still on 3.0.0.

Nope, when I click cancel it says it did not complete. And I'm still on 3.0.0.

Did you try creating the folder structure it is looking for then copy the .MSI to that location? I've run into this exact problem before with other SW and that took care of things.

I just DL'ed and ran the update with no problems. I'm still on Win 8.1, so maybe the weirdness you guys ran into is a Win 10 thing...?
