My first home studio ... in 1985

I've just found a picture of my first home studio back in 1985.

Gear list
Korg KMX-8 (mixer)
Yamaha RX-15
Fostex X15 (4 tracks)
Senheiser headphones
Boss Digital Delay
Roland Juno 6 (6 voices, 1DCO, no memory)
Yamaha PF-15 (FM Piano)
Not showned
Roland SH-101
Radio Shack Cassette deck (to save the RX-15 memory)
Cheap mic

Do you have pictures of your first home studio ?

By the way, I really loved the Juno 6 sounds and can wait for the Sonar 8.3 upgrade (including new Roland sounds for Dimension Pro)

    I HAD THAT SAME FOSTEX!

Mine was the Fostex X-15 II, which I purchased for about $385 from Peate's Music House in Utica, NY. That was a lot of dishwashing money, believe me!

    Memories...

I owned a set of the Senhesier headphones too. I really liked those.

I owned a Juno-6 (or was it a Juno-60). Wish I never got rid of it.

    Ahh. The good old days.

That takes me back. . . . The Fostex X15 wasn't my first tape recorder, but it was my first overdubbing multitrack. I learned a lot about recording with that machine! While I retired mine long ago, I couldn't bring myself to get rid of it -- too many good memories!

    A few of my songs

SONAR Platinum, Cakewalk by BandLab, Windows 10, Focusrite Scarlett 6i6.

You had to figured out your recording session a litlle more in that time.
There were no "cut&paste" or "undo".

I have used V-Vocal for the first time last week and it's amazing how far we have come in the last 20 year.

I loved those gear ... but I wouldn't come back
