Looks nice, and real drawbar thingies too!

no room for all that! if I had room, I'd add a real 122... this will sit on top of the churchs' Casio for now (pretty much just like in the pic).

if any of you are unfamiliar with the newest hammond/suzuki keyboards, this one is the most expensive, least portable and least versatile. but the closest to a real B3 you can get! it has it's own twin tube preamp, a built in digital leslie (with presets for 122, 147, 31H and more and tweakable parameters), presets like a B3 (the reversed keys at the bottom), drawbars, and most importantly (to me) full unlimited polyphony. I loved the fact that it comes with it's own tube preamp and digital leslie, but the polyphony was what clinched the deal for me. I've had keyboards in the past where the organ patches sounded like a cat in a blender because of the lack of polyphony. the SK-1 is lightweight (15.5 pounds) and very "gig-able" it has more sounds than just organ - strings, pads, etc. it costs NEW what I paid for this one used (~$2000) but it only has 61polyphony! only 8 polyphony for the pipe organ. and no tube preamp and the built in leslie is about the same quality as the one I have on my yamaha MO6 - which is crap, really. so I wanted the XK3C which sounds soooo sweet compared to the organ sounds of my yamaha. it's amazing how different they are! and the leslie sounds are amazing too. I had considered trying to buy one of the less expensive leslies or even one of the new ventilators, but so far I'm loving the digital leslie that this thing has built in!

So, basically, when you need to go for that cat in a blender sound, this expensive keyboard won't be able to handle the job, ya?
