As a foundation I can see this growing into a nice tune, looking forward to the hearing the arrangement grow. Incidentally what did you use for the orchestral sounds?

I like it a lot.  Has a bit of that Ludovico Einaudi sound that I love.  Agree with Biodiode -- curious what orchestral sounds you used because they are super.

very nice composition and sounds Marek - it would be nice to take it into another section/key and bring it back to the main theme for the ending.

    Hey guys.

Thank you so much for your nice words :) I really appreciate it.

I also hope that this idea would evolve to a nice, complete piece of music (unlike my numerous other tunes) :)
I cant decide whether this part is more a "chorus" or "verse". Maybe I would just let it "flow"...

The sounds (except for piano) are from EW Composer Cloud - EW Gold Symphonic Orchestra. Very nice piece of library and for 30 bucks a month its a steal.
The piano is NI Alicias Keys.
A little bit of reverb, a little EQ on the piano and a little bit of bus compressor and Voxengo Elephant on the Master bus.

    Best Regards,
    Marek

Nice build up. Has epic potential. My only suggestion would be to slow down the intro a bit and put the lovely piano part a bit more into an ambient field at the start. As is, it sounds a little more mechanical than passionate. I realize it's only an idea, but you did ask for suggestions.
    Best of luck!

Thanks Vanessa and Larry for your comments.

This piece is definitely on my list of tunes that need to be finished. My problem is I usually end up with just an idea a few bars long but then I lack the creativity or mostly time to finish it to a full song...

Are there any techniques that you use once you get back to an old tune and you try to add new parts and finish it? :)

    Best Regards,
    Marek

    Hi Marek,
I like Vanessa and Larry's suggestions.

I don't know if it is the kind of technique you are looking for but check out 'The Chord Wheel' booklet by Jim Fleser.  It may be too rudimentary for you but sometimes just having a schematic is helpful.

Another idea: Just set Sonar to loop through a section and then just improvise for awhile and see what ideas shake out.

    Mosaic Manifesto  (remixes and instrumentals)

    Marek,

What Larry said ; apply precepts of composition to this promising idea. You have a good start.

    Cheers,

It sounds good.  I think if it were mine, I'd work awhile on bar 5 ... whether it might be possible NOT to go into repeat mode so soon.

I like what you got so far!  Sounds like into movie theme material.  If you had said it was from a movie I would have believed you!  Check out The Secret Lake if you get a chance.

This is quite nice. You have all the parts that make this work. The countermelody is low and it seem to go nowhere but as said, it is a great start. Now the trick is to combine ideas with a solid transition.

    Well done!

I like what you've done with this so far. Keep going with it and expand the idea! I want to hear the full composition! Maybe complete the musical thought you have now and then add a transition to an alternate melody or bring in a minor key. I know this is in at an early stage, but I might consider adding some ambiance to the piano and moving it back in the virtual stage a bit. Just a thought.

Composer's Cloud is great, isn't it? Are you use Symphonic Orchestra or Hollywood Orchestra? Really sounds great.
