My remix competition entry using Sonar .. Listen, Vote PLEEZ :D

Hi Guys,

I recently stumbled on a few sites where us muso's get the opportunity to remix original tracks by known semi know artists as part of a competition.

Once you enter you get access to "stems". Basically the original artist supplies original track samples of the vocal lines, bass lines, drums etc ( all separate ) so you can chop, gut, remix, add own lines etc to come up with YOUR version of a track already released.

I have gone and entered a remix of a great track by QUINTINO x CHEAT CODES called "Cant Fight It". Go look for the original on Youtube.

PLEASE GO TO LINK BELOW and have a listen to my remix there. Its warts and all, done over 2 evenings. I came late to this one & had to rush it in.If you like it then vote for it ..PLEEEEZ :D

Spinninrecords is one such remix competition site:

You will notice lots of other competitions here. BTW .. their are prizes. In the competition I have entered with my remix the prizes include a possible release of your remix, fruity loops etc .. nice!

Hope you like my remix :D
Of course I made it with CAKEWALK SONAR Platinum ..

    Thanks Arlen ..

No prob .. I also wanted to get word out to other Cakewalk Muso's about such competitions. The bonus if you join up is you can have a look / download the samples of other tracks there from continuous competitions & join in with your own remixes .. all for some nice prizes inc release of remix.

I have not found any catch so far. What I did find is a very enjoyable thing to do .. with a deadline :D

Sounds like you're having a lot of fun Aiden (and that's what REALLY counts right?).
Will keep the site in mind if I think about remix music though.
    Take care,
