My son played with Rob Hurst and George Garzone last night!

Please I am very sorry if I sound like an over proud father. The Melbourne Jazz fesitival is on here and Rob Hurst is out here doing gigs with some very top ranking Australian players and would you believe my son is the drummer in this ensemble. They played at a premier jazz venue last night and words fail me to describe the gig of course other than I had to pinch myself a few times to make sure it was actually happening.

But afterwards there was a jam session which I missed because the gig started at 11pm and went till over 1.30am so I was pretty tired. So the jam started at 2 or later. Apparently George Garzone was there and said to my son I am not getting up and jamming unless you play! They did and it went off I have been told. Very excited and proud as you can imagine. He is a star already and he is only 21!

You're allowed to sound like a proud father--only because you are one.  It sounds like a spectacular time.  I wish I could have been there.  It sounds like your son already has a very good reputation.  I'm sure he deserves it, too.  All the best.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?
