My take on a Waits tune.
I have always been a Waits fan and play a few of his songs in our live set. I wanted to test the limits of what I could achieve in Sonar, this song has 38 tracks, 4 buses and many, many processors and effects. I run a 32 bit system and I'm sure I could push it further if I had to. We are thinking of adding this to our next album, hope you guys like it. That's terrific! Hate to make comments on a mix I've only heard squished by Soundcloud, but I like the balance of piano, bass and percussion. The piano is forward where it needs to be. And a couple of nice little FX wafting about the stereo field. I've been a Tom Waits fan since Nighthawks At The Dinner. What a live set that was! Your performance reminded me of a guy I heard in Germany about 13 years ago, when I was working in Bonn. His name is Adrian Ils. At the time, his band, based out of Köln I think, was called Ballhaus Nuevo. He's also recorded under his own name and Ballhaus. In the interest of sharing, and not to hijack this thread, here are a couple of his songs: 1) The World Is Beautiful (but he makes himself invisible; no one can see him), and 2) Dance With Me Before You Go (another nice example of recording an accordian).

All sounds good to me Wayne. I know who Tom Waits is, but not that familiar with his songs. Taken on its own merits, this is a fine song you have here  cheers andy

Not familiar with the original, but in the main this works quite well here, perhaps the vocal is a little dry but...

Wayne, you did a fantastic job on this song. I love the way it's panned with sounds coming from both sides of my speakers. Many forget the importance of panning nowdays. The vocals are processed nicely, and you've managed to make this your own song. Can't wait to hear it again.

Thanks Wookie, I think I'll revisit the vocals at some stage, I find reverb the most difficult of all processes to master so it's good to have someone else confirm that I still have a ways to go in that regard.
Thanks for the listen Lynn, I try not to follow a song's original feel and try to add some of my own.

I'm not familiar with the song, but I liked this very much! Everything is locked in, and the vocals in particular are fittingly nice. And the sound effects were great.
