My take on the South African National Anthem

 I've just completed a track for a client which involved a slightly different version of the SA National Anthem.
 
The anthem is in 2 parts: One acoustic and the other a bit harder. Recorded in Sonar 8.5.3.

    Other than the left right cymbal crashes during the acoustic bit this was really good...great tone on the electric

    Hi Peter,

    The cymbal crashes in the acoustic section are a little distracting
    but, overall, both sections sound great.

    I really like the acoustic playing...very nice.

    I absolutely agree about the crashes. I've remixed and reworked the track.

    Should be a lot better now.

    This is wonderfully played! .... and what a beautiful tune! I had never heard this anthem or many others in fact. I love the way you built it up by switching to the electric and beefing it up. Great job, and the new mix sounds great also.  P.S. Nice axe!

    The anthem is actually made up of two anthems. It was done when South Africa became a democratic country. This version has been around since 1994. The first part is actually an African hymn.

    Gorgeous sound Peter, beautiful tones on all the instruments. Very nice indeed, I enjoyed that a lot. Bold move to crank it up with the electric, but you carried it off perfectly.

    The track will actually have a vocal on the final version. I'll have to remove the solo gtr parts. It is to be sung at an international boxing tournament. I originally put the solo gtrs on as a guide for the singer.
