My thoughts on Platinum

Yay, early adopter here.

Installation was smooth and simple. I only installed the core and Andertons stuff since I was coming from X3. So I cannot say if there are problems in the areas.

I do not have the Kontakt problem reported elsewhere. But I am on a US version on a US OS, so that may be the problem as Noel stated in that thread.

No melodyne problems yet for me.

I already have AD 2 and all the AD Paks and nearly all the kit pieces so I'll need to contact XLN and see if I can apply the credit of the AD paks to more MIDI packs. They were very accommodating with swapping out my AD1 license in X3 to let me get the only AD Packs I did not have then. I'm sure they will do something similar this time.

Mix scenes are cool. I like the idea (read elsewhere here) that I can export all mix scenes at once. Tre cool idea. Can't wait to try it out.

Getting into the new CB now. Have not tried any CB customization as yet. Just getting a feel for the capabilities.

Will give VocalSync a try later today or tomorrow. I have an old project with ~10 BGV tracks that I manually aligned (and not all that great). So this will be a good test for that.

Maybe it's just excitation but it all seems to run smoother. Liking it very much so far.

More to follow.

But is it 20-40 % smoother?

Is that the 20 minute review or the 24 hour review?

I'm instigating a new personal review correction factor policy in La Cabeza MQ.

    10 days equals 1x star.
    1 day equals 0.1x star.
    1 hour = 0.004167x star
    1 minute = 0.00007x star

A 20 minutes experience that results in a 5 star review equals 0.0014 stars.

A 24 hour experience that results in a 5 star review equals 0.5 stars.

10 days experience that results in a 5 star review equals 5 stars.
