Mystery Island - Instrumental

Mystery Island
https://soundcloud.com/orygun/mystery-island
Electronic, ambient.

The name just sounded right. It's probably been used a hundred times before.
Couple of patches from Alchemy Dream Voices in this one as well as several Zebra sounds. Zebra is becoming my go to synth right after Omnisphere.

Thanks for listening.

Hey Björn, absolute amazing. I listen and i start to dream. Very nice to listen to, interesting synthesizers. Indeed mystic. For me, it can be longer maybe 5 or more minutes. I'm relaxing. Top Sound!

Very mysterious indeed - great feel to it.

Love the overlaying synthesizers swaying in and out of one another.

    Good Job!

I had to look up Zebra - I didn't know what it was. Your composition definitely sets a mood - perhaps one of contemplation.  I enjoyed all the different sounds going on in it.

Nice tune! Somebody pass me a syringe.

I'm about to record a song in the next few minutes called "Born on Bloody Island". Wonder what it is that makes us old codgers think of islands? Mine isn't a happy tropical one either. Matter of fact I re-watched Old Man and the Sea night before last. Maybe there's something in the fall air....

Nice one, Bjorn. I could hear some kick-ass acoustic drums coming in somewhere in the second half, not that it requires it.

    Thank you for the comments.

Bill, There is something in the fall air. Cold air. No more comfy warm summer air. It's gonna be cold and wet and dreary around here again. So I like to imagine happy tropical islands.

OK...  I'm not getting the typical "tropical" vibe but what I am getting I like.   For me this island is less sand and sun and more about its mysterious interior...

I enjoy your ambient pieces, Bjorn.  And you always seem to choose the right titles for them.  The title "Mystery Island" captures the overall feel to this.  Beautiful.  As I'm typing this, your other song, "The Promise You Made" is also playing.  Very soothing.  This type of music does some nice things to me.  Relaxing and contemplative.

Do you ever play around with any of the AAS collections?  I got a few freebies from them recently.  They let me pick two.  I'm considering doing some experimental instrumentals like yours.  Of course, I probably won't do half as good a job as you.

Nice Bjorn, I like the sparse instrumentation mixed with an evolving sound. Zebra is a nice synth, a little pocket modular that fits on your screen :)

Another terrific song Bjorn.  You really have done a wonderful job in weaving together sounds that set up a mood that can be interpreted in a number of ways depending on the listener.  I read the comments above as to how they reacted and I got yet a different feel.  For me it was tropical and I could imagine SCUBA diving on a reef off of a tropical island.  Something that I haven't done in quite some time.

I always enjoy your music and I particularly enjoyed this one. Nice one!!!

This sounds fantastic through headphones, really spacious mix with everything placed just right. Lovely sound choices. I like the oblique melodies, just right for the mysterious theme. Could have stood another 2 or 3 minutes of that. One tiny crit - the fade cuts off abruptly right at the end.

Wow! This is amazing work Bjorn.

Definitely has a mysterious feel to it and in parts reminded me of JMJ Oxygene/Equinoxe.
I could listen to an album of this on endless loop.

Great piece, really nice production. Really clear and open mix, lots of nice little details in the instrumentation and various parts. This music, to me anyway, conveys a nice sense of mystery without menace. Very enjoyable listen!
