I saw a reference somewhere that mentioned a $99 introductory price. Hard to imagine anything from Eventide in that price range, though.

This is why I need to go to NAMM every year. It's so frustrating to read reports that don't mention price. Cheese und crackers! The reporter is standing right there in front of a salesman and doesn't think to ask???

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I thought it was more like $150.00 & $99.00 for BlackHole

No offense to Michelle (wasn't it?) or anything but that was one incredible full-on suckfest demo...for anything...let alone a multieffect VST.  I didn't hear anything of any sort that sounded interesting or new (except the insanely stupid way-over-loud foot steps which did make me chuckle...but not in a good way).  Were I to purchase based on that video alone they would have to pay me to even try the plugin.  Doesn't bode well to say the least.

That's not the Eventide I know & love.

Just a slightly off topic point, if you're reading this Brandon, does this youtube clip qualify as a violation of the TOS? I know it's not Pro-Tools, but it is an advertisement.
And when members provide the URLs of companies, as we often do, this being the Software Forum of course, is that a violation of the TOS? Especially when there are specific deals on.

Just curious. Specifically because of your finishing post in the thread 'just had to post this'. Which is now closed.

I decided to finally read the TOS - never have before - but the link in the sticky just takes me to the main forum page. Anyone actually read the TOS recently?

I doubt CW will ever take the draconian measure of banning mentions of relevant third-party products. This ain't the Steinberg forum.

Now, those damned "how to enjoy DVD videos on your Mac and iPhone" posts, there should be an automatic kill rule for those. At least we haven't had any ads for sneakers and t-shirts for a while.

Common sense prevails on both sides for the most part. Most of us who post on the software forum are making Sonar users aware of programmes that will enhance their Sonar experience and often at a good price. The majority of the posts are not competing with Cakewalk or Sonar. I don't see a problem mentioning other DAWs either. The main Sonar platform boards should probably be left to discussion mainly about Sonar with references to other DAWs only used as part of the debate. In the end, Cake decides what is and isn't acceptable and that's the way it is.
