NAMM Overboard!

I'm getting plastered on Facebook with all the new toys announced today! Me brain hurts!

That new Behringer X-Touch looks like it might make the old Mackie Control slip on a banana peel (and it's already got one foot in the grave..) Behringer's movin' on up in the world...

OK, the word for the X-Touch is $599 MAP, street price ought to be even better.

If this thing works better than the MCU, I'll jump on it quick.
I am bewildered by the lack of good options for control surfaces.
all of the options are seriously flawed.

It looks pretty good that behringer thing, yeah. But given that it uses the same protocols as the Mackie, any problems arising from Cakewalk's not-very-good control surface support will be there whatever surface you use. They really should sort it out. And for the record, open sourcing the control surface code is not "sorting it out". Control Surface support is *officially* off the table for Sonar. Seems a shame to me, but hey.
