NEED HELP WITN MY EMU 1820M AND SONAR 3

FIRST LET ME SAY I AM A ROOKIE AT THIS RECORDIND STUFF.I STARTED OFF USING SOUND BLASTER LIVE MIDI INTERFACE AND SOUND CARD WITH PRO AUDIO 9.I JUST UPGRADED TO SONAR 3 PRODUCER AND THE EMU-1820M.I HAVE READ THE MANUAL FOR 3HRS NOW!WHAT IS THE PROPER SETUP FOR CONFIGURING SONAR WITH THE EMU SO I CAN RECORD CORRECTLY SOMEONE PLEASE CALL 911 CAUSE IM GOING CRAZY

    First off, lemme say:

    Uh-umm.....now, where were we?

    If you go into Options -> Audio, is your card selected, and do all of the settings there look reasonable?
