NEW EQ AWESOME

I normally don't post unless it is something that needs to be addressed. However, they did an awsome! job on that EQ. I don't think that there is any daw that can compete with it. All I have to say is wow. I don't need anything else. I am glad I paid the money for the rolling updates.

If for some reason I could not use anything but SONAR Platinum to mix and master a song these two new tools would be my go to EQ and MB.

My initial thoughts after playing with it and the MB for about 1/2 hour are as follows:
Opened existing project, replaced LP64EQ and MB with the new versions. They are, how do I say it. I want to say transparent, but I don't think that's quite right, more like smooth, polished! I still left the originals on because they were 90% there already. (I ended up using IK's MEQ432, man that thing is gold to me). I could definitely see using them on future projects. One thing I did not like was that they were very taxing on my system, especially graphics wise.(Admittedly, I did not prepare for this, I just slapped them on). They made my clock and time ruler lurch around, something I hadn't seen since my Pentium 4 days. I moved my buffers up to 512 and that helped but still kinda jittery. I closed my eyes. Anyone else see this sort of thing? The analyzer stayed pretty smooth though.
That sort of thing makes me nervous every time. I keep thinking, am I on the edge of stability right now? My performance meters don't seem to be breaking a sweat though, so I guess just close it once it is where I like it and live with it.(Everything back to normal once you close the display, even minimized it affects graphics.)

To me, the most important aspect of both processors is that they can process the right and left channels independently or together, and for mid/side processing you can process the mid and side separately (yet still hear the results in stereo).

Also the LP MB makes a fabulous crossover for multiband processing.
