It's decent but even at $64.00 I passed, wasn't blown away by it.
If someone needed a verb it'd be a good purchase I suppose. Various features that can be tweaked to get some interesting sounds; good for different applications, sound design.
There's a demo you can try.

Yeah, I need another reverb as bad as I need another eq, but it does look nice...I haven't had the urge to buy any plugins for awhile...I may be cured of vst gas.

Try hardware Clarry.  Of course, that is a more expensive GAS.  But it will cure your vst blues.

Well to be honest I've been on a Amp modeler binge. I had a HD500 and DT50 for 4 years, but I'm not playing live anymore so I thought I would try a few things out. Since May I have bought and sold an 11rack, Digitech RP360XP and a Zoom G5. I currently have a Fender Mustang IV ordered. So I have moved on to guitar rig gas. For recording I'm happy with Amplitube and S-Gear, but I like to have something I could play live with if the need comes up.

Eventide makes good stuff...but IMHO their GUIs suck. Plus even at the "release" price...too much.

Yeah, how come they didn't let us have this one for free, at least at first?  That's what they did with the UltraChannel, anyway.  Now everyone thinks their other stuff is overpriced.

But seriously, I agree with Carl.  It's a cool plugin but nothing that wows me.  We are definitely spoiled for reverb plugs these days, and with Valhalla's new updates, the competition at the low end of the price scale is fierce.

I'm with you guys on this one.

Incidentally, upon upgrading Logic, I got an error message saying that Ultra Channel wasn't properly authorized. I'm not even attempting to sort it out, as good as it supposedly is.

New reverb plug-in? Not for me. I'd be more interested in an outboard one if anything.

I've got Valhalla's reverbs and CSR (which is becoming a little underated IMHO). I would like to add Reverberate at some point for a nice convolution verb, but I'm in no hurry.

If you e-mail Valhalla he will send you the beta versions. I have the the new VVV beta, but I believe there are new betas for Room and Ubermod too. I'm trying to find the thread at kvraudio.com. I will post a link when I do.

So what's in the Valhalla updates? More presets? I've always felt VintageVerb could use more. Very exciting, I love Valhalla reverbs.

Well I just looked at his blog and it seems whole new algorithms are being added. Can't wait to hear them. I also noted FreqEcho is being updated to 64-bit - I wonder if it will still be free?

You can download FreqEcho 64bit free right now. It's been out for awhile...sorry I thought you guys knew or I would have posted the info. (cclarry has dropped the ball Hahaha) The new VVV has several new algorithms 15 total. The smooth plate is getting a lot of praise on KVR. Some guy has made 50 presets for download in the link I posted.

I checked and my FreqEcho may be a beta version. E-mail Valhalla support and he will send you the downloads.

Yep, too many reverbs already. Have another concern in reference to Rain's earlier post about Ultra Channel failure.

Ultra Channel bit the big one on me again. Got it up and running eventually with rebooting, but did the same thing. Froze Sonar solid and didn't let you bypass the error message to resume the session. Only brighter side was the first crash was looking for an Ilok dongle. This crash was different and said that a required service needed to use the plug was not installed. They are getting better. Reinstall the plugin, reinstall the ilok manager was the solution again in the error message, which didn't fix the last crash last time.

The new reverb may be the best in the world, but if it goes down like Ultra Channel with the same Ilok that is not an Ilok protection mess, will have to pass.

    Yeah, it's weird.

The Ultrachannel update installed for me without a problem. Still worked.

Then on two occasions, the dam thing went south, messing everything up in its path. As much as I'm happy for those who have no problem with Ilok, has been only a source of frustration and unpredictable failure here.

Don't have the knowledge to figure out why, when everyone else almost is not experiencing any issue. Use Iobit AWC cleaner and Registry First Aid. They may be knocking out some registry key that takes the constipated Ilok empire down.

Mention of Valhalla reverbs. No Ilok, no Ilok which is Ilok without dongle, no call response activation. Just $50 fee for entry into almost reverb Nirvana.

Never had a single issue with Valhalla, and excited about the pending upgrades.

I am seriously looking forward to sitting still in my studio.

I have far too many reverb and delay plug-ins, even after thinning the heard during the present rebuild. But odd though it may sound, I use them. Each one has some trick that I found a use for it seems. So I am getting this one too. Eventide makes amazing hardware, I still have an Instant Phaser and Instant Flanger in the rack because they haven't released plug-in emulations of them that I can use.

I tried the demo. It sounded good to me, but I'm happy with my Valhalla stuff and my new MMultibandconvolution. I hate to actually spend money...I would have to keep the ilok thing if I do. The Ultrachannel is nice, but it's redundant. I probably won't keep it forever.

I bought it and am delighted with it. Very versatile and very good for sound designer type effects. Lots of presets of varying quality too. Can't speak highly enough of both this and the UltraChannel. Wish I had jumped on the other Eventide plugs when they were released at introductory prices.
