    No prob about linky.

Vocals remind me of Bono, With or Without You (the verse part).

This is probably related to the style of music , which I admit I don't listen to, so take next comment with that in mind. It might be perfectly normal for the style of music.

The percussion part sounds too busy (and clicky, like tapping drumsticks together).

The mix is great. It's always astonishing to me to hear the different styles, not just of music, but mixing styles as well. Admittedly, this is not my style of music, but you obviously took your time and care with the mix....and it paid off. Everything is very clear. The vocals seem a little behind the mix to me, but I am listening on headphones, so I don't know how accurate that is. Good job all in all though.

Great job on the mix.Has a very relaxing feel to it.The percussion is real busy, which makes it good for dancing,or driving.

the production makes me think of the early Eighties. thompson twins, no that's not it, Thomas Dolby?, No, it's kinda Boy George, Wham!, actually a bit of Tears for Fears. Sounds very English. Eurythmics sorta...no I'm going with the Boy George feel, but with George Michael producing, or maybe it's a duet.

I like it! I like it a lot. Great vocals. Production is fabulous. Really. Nice work!

Hey, question for you; when you posted "I am the Walrus" on Soundclick did you bother to get any kind of permission? Or did you just do it?

I've done a pretty wild take on "Eleanor Rigby" and I really want to post it. I wonder if anyone who is old enough to recognise it would know it...although I guess the lyrics pretty much give it away...

Just listened to it much louder, that's some really fine production.

...the vocal effect, it's just, what is it. where have I heard that...aarrrggh. Billy Idol? No...

You know what, I take back all my comparisons, you are very original and talented.

The organ solo is way too tasty.

Cheers to a job well done!

Of course, being over forty I "get" this, don't know how them rap sucking kids will like it!

very interesting-you have a gift for drum programming (and loops). Nice happy feeling when you go into the chorus. The vocal could be interesting as well if it was handled a little different-kid of like an early Elvis Costello or Beck. A lot of it is in the mix-the vocal is kind of out there all on it's own right now. I did enjoy the different phases you went through.

Hey thanks so much for listening guys! nprime: yes, I'm part of the over forty crowd...my young clubbing hay day was the early 80's and I've always had a fondness for it....as far as I am the Walrus...on the site I post music on... www.dmusic.com ...you're allowed to have covers posted, apparently they have an arrangement with RIAA or some such thing where it's okay...as long as you don't claim it's your song..but give reference that it's a cover...

wow awesome song! hmmmm, vox reminded me more of those 80s English invasion bands. Human League, Heaven 17, Depeche Mode ... Also the melody reminds me of that era. I think it is very well produced and lively. I really like the lyrics too. I also think the lyric is very appropriate at this time. I agree with MJ that the drums in the chorus really bring this song to life. However I found the Stylus grooves a little too much in the verses. Where are you getting those Organ sounds from?

    Hey Eric,

I like this! A couple of things bug me, though...

    1) The maj 7 on the second chord of the verse (G maj7 ?) sounds out of place to me.

    2) The chorus needs more kick and bass. Yours is the third song I've listened to today that sounded bottom-light in one way or another, so it may just be my crummy listening environment here.

I agree with Michael - you're very good at programming this stuff.

hey thanks a lot for listening to this track....nprime: dmusic is a really cool independent artist community.....great bunch of folks on there...I usually post my stuff here...for more "techie" feed back (mixing/eq/etc.) and post it also at dmusic as comments there are often more directed toward the "artistic" side of things rather than the "technical" side of things...

Nice song, I like how you combine major and minor tonalities in this piece.

You've got some great sounds too, must be all those cool synths you've got.

I think the voice is just a bit quiet for my liking - I'd make it about 1.5-3 dB louder.

Cool tune, Eric! I agree with most of comments made. The mix and overall fidelity is great. My only suggestion might be to give the chorus a little low-end punch. But please keep in mind that I'm listening at work through some Sony Walkman headphones.

    Nice job!
