NEWBIE in Windows and Sonar -Somebody Using Sonar Platinum and Audient ID4?

 
Hi I am using  Sonar Platinum and Audient ID4.
 
I am new to Sonar and to Windows,  so forgive my huge ignorance here.
 
Seems that the Input  Echo Monitoring is not  good as introduce some latency recording vocals.
I  am using the Asio Audient Driver..I guess that are the best options for this audio Interface right?'
 
Now if I want to record vocal  seems that I can not use the Sonitus Reverb plug in  as only works or sounds if I activate the Input Echo Monitoring and that brings a HUGE latency of many seconds with the Reverb.
 
Is there is a way to to make this reverb work good while I am recording Vocals.
I inserted the Reverb in an AUX track...is that OK?
 
any tips?  how do you guys  set sonar and the Audient ID4, the playback, the routing and what is related to the Input  Echo Monitoring?

    There is no avoiding the round trip latency created by your audio interface when monitoring through the DAW. There are two sources of latency you have control over, the size of the ASIO buffer and the PDC required for the plug-ins used in the project. Running at 44.1K with the ASIO buffer set at 128 or less usually generates acceptable latency (~10ms) to monitor through the DAW.
