NI Replika 1.3 update

In your Service Center. Run Service Center to see it.
I have not tried it yet so I don't know if it fixes the Sonar crash bug that 1.2.2 had.
I will try it this evening and report back here.

EDIT: the info text says that it fixes crashes in Cakewalk Sonar.

EDIT: Installed and it is working. No more crash.

I reinstalled v1.2.1, and then updated. It actually is a nice little delay. I replaced a Master buss reverb on a percussion-only tune with Replika v1.3 and dialed it in with just a bit of delay. Quite musical on tuned percussion.

NOW I feel pretty good about my 2014 Xmas gift from NI!

I've been using 1.2.1 since it actually works, but may need to give this a spin...   I guess just so it's up to date in the Service Center.

Yeah, that way you don't have to see (and ignore) the "update available" every time you open service center.

Wow I can finally update after how long? A year? I use Replika all the time but am amazed it took them this long to fix a simple delay plugin.

Thanks, I'd forgotten I had it. Had a go with it this morning. I have forgotten why I had forgotten it; it's actually pretty good .

It is great but one thing that annoys me about it is when switching the delay time divisions between straight, dotted, triplets etc it doesn't retain the beat division that you were at. When you're set to 1/8ths and you switch from straight to dotted for instance, the beat division changes (to what I can't remember because I'm not sat in front of it). Having said that I'm still using an old version so maybe they changed that behavior?

The 'button' which you click to select "dotted" is not just an option list that scrolls from dotted to straight to triplet etc.  It moves you through a graduated list of duration values.  So if you click repeatedly and arrive at 'triplet' a second time, the note duration of the triplets will have gone up or down.  It's a bit odd that clicking the word or the right arrow take you through smaller and smaller durations, and clicking on the left arrow gets you to higher and higher durations.

I haven't taken the time to figure out if the plugin attempts to maintain a similar note duration as it cycles through the modifiers.  But it looks like it's trying to do something like that.

It's kind of strange how knowing that upgrading to the next version will cause it to not work can keep you from enjoying the version you have which works fine.

I think this sounds great on guitars.  It would make a great addition to Guitar Rig if they ever were to update it.
