NI Studio Drummer, Kontakt 5 Player, not saving settings...

I recently purchase NI Studio Drummer and downloaded the free Kontakt 5 player. I can load the Kontakt 5 player vst into my copy of X1 studio, load the NI Studio Drummer instrument into the player, load up the different kits, and drag the drum loops into the track view to create a song. Life is good! When I save and close my project, the next time I open it the player is still in the synth rack but I have to reload the instrument, select the kit, and redo any tweeks I've made. I've searched on the NI site about this without much luck. Any suggestions? Seems pretty basic. I must be missing a simple step. Thanks Pete
