[NOT solved but over]Has anyone installed Addictive Drums successfully?

I must have a blind spot or something...
I downloaded the XLN-Online-Installer-Win.zip and ran the x64 exe.
The XLN Audio procedure (account opening and installing) told me that I have Addictive Drums installed and up to date but I cannot find any .dll on my system to enable me to insert it into Sonar.
All I can find is the XLN Online installer .exe plus two .ico files under C:\Program Files\XLN Audio\XLN Online Installer.
VST scanning does not find a .dll anywhere, so where is it?
The XLN Audio procedure never asked me where to install the .dll so I shouldn't be surprised, I guess.
I was expecting the download to give me an executable that would install the plugin, but I see no evidence of this nor how to proceed.
Has anyone got the Addictive Drums soft synth to be available to Sonar?
What have I not done and how do I do it?
Thanks to all.

I read the instructions that came with X3 for the Addictive Drums, went though the motions and had no huddles/problems with the installation. There weren't any choices to make a wrong desicion, so I'm not sure why you are having a problem. I have both Superior Drummer and now AD and really like AD! The documentation is excellent as is the interface.

AD support?

If you run the XLN online installer and log in it will tell you where the VST's are under advanced. (XLN Online Installer.exe - for me the exe is under C:\Program Files\XLN Audio\XLN Online Installer if you can't find it).
It actually also lets you move them (and main app) to other places which is quite neat.

No problems installing here.

The only problem I had was the installer wouldn't run for about five attempts and then it did. When the proper download installed I was surprised to not have a choice as to where it went but when I opened Sonar I saw it scan the file and the drums were there.
I can't see what can go wrong as there isn't much human input.

Grum.

I've got it installed, and it shows up in X3, but I haven't been able to get any sound out of it. Not sure what's wrong, I must be doing something wrong because the AD window opens up and it looks great, but no sound yet.

Installed and working on my desktop and laptop here with no problems.  I actually installed it over wifi on my laptop without a hitch.

I set up a beat pattern and clicked on the "Solo" button next to the mute button in the channel and now I'm getting great sounds !!

yep I was doing something wrong, I had a few other tracks selected for "Solo" which muted my AD track, I un-solo'ed them and ...now it's working fine !!

Have you inserted it as a soft synth correctly?

Insert > Soft Synth > Addictive Drums
Have the following items ticked in the "Insert Softh Synth Dialogue" box
-Simple Instrument Track
-Synth Property page
-Synth Rack View
-Recall Assignable Controls
-Ask This Every Time

I've included this, and a more advanced setup in this post:

I found the .dll in C:\ProgramData and moved it to my VSTPlugins folder so it all works now.
However, I still do not know why my X3 didn't pick it up from C:\ProgramData to begin with - and nor to Tech Support.
Down to experience, I guess.
Thanks to all.

Yes-first try-no issues=they work great. Not near as good as what I have already SSD4, but they will be useful
