I went with Session horns and Vintage organs and feel like I'll get my money's worth. I am more impressed with session horns than I thought I would be from the demos.

Cool stuff! I almost got Cuba since I'm working on a Latin rock album right now but figured I was all set with EZdrummer Latin for now. Is it awesome ol Pal? Should I?

Peace!

A bunch of people who upgraded to komplete 9 ultimate are selling individual library and effect licenses lower than the 50 percent sale price. Check out kvr forum marketplace for deals.

I got the crossgrade to Komplete 9.  I had been meaning
to upgrade for a while...so the half price made me do it...
I mean really, about $3,000 worth of software for $200...
I'm innocent..

The BEST thing I got this BF was a Focusrite Forte for $300!!!

That was a real deal!  Closest I'll probably ever get to an RME...
and about half off...I did the research, listened to the RME, Apogee, Forte comparison..
and had to buy it.  Now I've gotta sell my Quadcapture...maybe...
I might just keep it too as a back up...

Still waiting to hear from Plugindiscounts about LXP...if the price
is right...I'll have to borrow some money...

Well...I've got EZ Latin Perc and it's good for some things but you just can't have too many drum and percussion options so I added Cuba to my arsenal. It is more authentic and "live" sounding to my ears and, as I'm always want to say, just adds more crayons to my coloring box.

I also like to get things like this when they finally go on sale. In fact, I've been waiting for Cuba to be discounted for quite some time. And now it is...so I picked it up. I'm really not as avaricious or atavistic as Bit makes me out to be. Most of the time.

I'm looking forward to using Session Horns - I've always wanted some decent sounding horns in my arsenal. I'm expecting my experience with it to go much like my experience with Session Strings Pro - play a little on the keyboard, think "hmm, this sounds lame," then go back to it months later and realize that it actually sounds amazing when you take the time to program the articulations properly.

I'm in the UK and I am looking to crossgrade from Garritan products all the way up to Komplete Ultimate - in theory it's exactly half price. Is this all done through NI's site, paid in Euros with no more duty due and delivered from UK dealers?

Thanks

Just Curious if other people are getting their serials back from NI very quickly? I placed an order this morning, about 12 hrs ago, and I still have not received the serials nor do they show up in my account. Not sure if it's just me, the weekend, or NI is just loaded down.

Very rarely are with NI do they just give serial #'s...you usually get a boxed product delivered to your door.
If you ordered something that IS downloadable, they are probably behind to the sales...
Be patient.  But if it doesn't show up soon I'd make a phone call.

Re: Native Instruments 50% Off Deal 2013/11/30 20:56:01 (permalink)
It was a DL from the NI site. I already have the DL link and the software installed just don't have the serial to activate it. Yesterday when I placed another order I received the DL links and serials within minutes and they were swamped then...  I do see that the NI charge to my card is still pending so I'm guessing it must be a manual process and nobodies home to process it.

I wish patience was one of my stronger points...

I did.

I didn't even know about it, but thanks to you posting it here, I got some great deals.

1. Like Dan, I also did the upgrade for GR5 Pro for a measly $34.50.

S.L.I.P...$49.50 for full box upgrade and free shipping for Kontakt 5!...

2. Wasn't gonna go for Kontakt 5, since K4 was good enough but for $49.50, it was too hard to pass up on.
[That includes free shipping to Canada no less!]

3. vintagevibe...I just broke down and ordered the NI Rickenbacker. But now I'm done. No, really. I mean it this time...

I thought so too, but for $49.50, how could I say no?

I also went for the 2 NI Pianos @ MF for $19 each last week, so these and the NI Scarbee Ricky Bass need Kontakt 5 to play, [although the 2 pianos could be played in Kontakt 5 Player, but with limited editing options].

So for $38 plus $133.50 I'm happy with my NI upgrade 'fix'.

Thanks Daniel!

Re: Native Instruments 50% Off Deal 2013/12/01 21:00:53 (permalink)
Hello ,
I need your opinion:
I have already Kontakt 5: If I take the individual banks that really interest me , with the current promotion, I get a total of 300 €. If I "crossdate "from K5 to Komplete Ultimate 9,  it will cost me 374.50 €  BUT I  absolutely have to get "Cuba" which is not part of KU9 :  So, I have to add  € 49.50 , thus a total of : 424 € !
Given that I would benefit from that thansksgiving period for buying other products more specific for my needs, do you still think that this remains a good deal knowing that I don't think to have utility for most of the banks included in KU9 (many synths as I don't make electronic music, many redundance with drums and bass... ). What do you think about the effects ? ( we are all, I think, well stocked with compressors , so : do they really give something more ?) . Concerning the reverbs  : Are they good ?
Another question about the installation: If like me , you already have Kontakt 5, and if you need to install Komplete Ultimate 9 , is it necessary to uninstall Kontakt 5 ? If it is the case, do you lose all the settings you made in the K5 or is there a possibility to recover them ?
Thank you for your attention

You should not need to reinstall Kontakt.
You can choose which components you want to install.
And when you consider the price of buying the products
contained in K9 or K9U individually...it is a TREMDOUS bargain.

Remember, just the REGULAR price of Kontakt and Reaktor is $399 EACH.
So you are basically getting EVERYTHING else FREE...

Thanks a lot cclary !!
So, for you, it's a no brainer , but (excuse me if I'm still a little hesitant) don't you think that if we have already libraries like the Spectrasonics stuff, Mixosaurus, Galaxy II ... we are used to work with,  will not all these Komplete Ultimate vsti be redundant or less attractive ? Do you think that they will be, on the contrary, a very good complement ?
