Native Instruments Customer Survey!!
I have just received this customer survey request. I have pasted the link below and hope you can all access it OK. We ALL need to tell them just how wrong they have been getting things of late - hopefully they might listen. NI are such a frustrating Company - good and sometimes great products allied to abysmal Customer Service and very questionable marketing tactics in my opinion. Anyway if the link works it doesn't take long to complete the three questions - the choice of these questions I feel is very enlightening and the fact that NI would send out such a questionnaire in itself says volumes about perhaps the latest rehash of the product line has not produced the sales they hoped for? Cheers Nigel

I participated in the survey, and I am a Kore owner. I did purchase Maschine seeing the path NI is taking in product centricity and integration. I never used Kore to its potential, but am delving into the Maschine environment. I am not a hip hop style , which it seems some users claimed the Maschine was aimed at. I started years ago on hardware sequencers, so I am used to the track/loop/phrase programming. Some NI software libraries are truly innovative , some leave me scratching my head. AFA customer support I never had issues with them or product authorization

done, and I gave them a piece of my mind. One other thing I mentioned besides the Kore, and the minimal nature of the upgrades, it the bundling of everything through reactor. I don't want to have to run reactor to get another plugin like the Mouth to run.

Thanks for posting that link, Nigel. I am not on NI's mailing list anymore so wouldn't have known about the survey. NI's planned obsolescence strategy is really annoying. Encourage upgrades by adding real improvements at reasonable upgrade prices, not by taking libraries off the market that are compatible with previous versions of Kontakt.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

Well - I got the mail and had a moan about all their Libraries now needing Kontakt 5 or Kontakt 5 player, which is not supported on Windows Vista.

it's a pity they have got many costumers backs up by how they have treated people who have spent a fair bit with them. doing the "la la la la I can't hear you " act will do them no favours, nor their bank balance

I mentioned the website (slow) and installs from DVD (even slower) and their absurd policy of not allowing a transfer of a license for a paid download product.

well Ed, they PURPOSELY neglected to mention something on their site advert.. which mislead me when I bought a product I didn't need to.. when confronted with it, they shrugged / laughed it off and told me to sell it on. (was "b4" pack.. the advert didn't state it wasn't included in K7.. where as other packs DID state it ) they aren't doing any shows etc .. so their website is their shop front.

Fog it's a pity they have got many costumers backs up by how they have treated people who have spent a fair bit with them. THIS ! I imagine I've spent of $1000, and quite possibly closer to $2000 over the years with them. But to be honest, except for Battery, I don't use any of there stuff on a regular basis. It's either a pain in the butt or buggy (Kore, Reactor etc. So instead I turn to stuff like REFX Nexus, even AFTER watching the groove3 how to use Kontact video.

For many of us since the Kore fiasco - NI = Not Interested The lack of honesty, transparency and genuine consideration for their user base was a true revelation...
Sorry - I don't use Autotune :)
