Native Instruments Kontakt keeps "disconnecting" from CbB MIDI Control

I have a rather nasty problem with Native Instruments Kontakt v5.8.0 and CbB. It's suddenly and unannouncedly "disconnecting" itself from being controlled by CbB MIDI. When this happens, I can play notes on my Arturia Keylab88 or use the mouse on the Kontakt piano board preview to play notes. However, I cannot play notes on the Piano Roll View keyboard or within the view itself, and if I have any previously inserted notes, they go unrecognized on playback. (This is not a Kontakt v5.8.0-specific problem - it happened in the previous version as well.) The only solution I've found so far is to delete the synth and its accompanying tracks, which is VERY annoying after you've got quite a bit of data entered.

How do I permanently fix this?

Platform: Win10

Version: Cakewalk by Bandlab

System: Intel Core i7 5930K, 32GB DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, MOTU micro lite, Arturia Keylab 88

Next time that happens, see if the midi i/o on the track has changed. It can sometimes happen if you hit a key on your keyboard.

I use Kontakt and have never seen that happen.
