Kontakt 6 has to drop at some point. I'd hate to upgrade my K9U to K11U and then have K6 come out. I don't care about Reaktor 6, and I just don't see enough new/updated in K11U to spend even the $200 sale price.

I don't think I can even list what I have in K10U.   It gets overwhelming.

That's what I'm counting on.  Soooooooo much that I don't care what they come out with until sale time next year

Here's the article that the previous spread sheet goes with...
http://blog.ultimateoutsi...y-of-komplete-all.html

The Complete History of Komplete - All Native Instruments Komplete Versions Compared

All the Kompletes

UPDATE (August 1, 2016): The comparison chart has now been updated for Komplete 11!

In 2003, a seven year old Native Instruments knew what it wanted to be when it grew up: The dominant force in virtual music instruments. When they packed their nine best products into one giant box and dubbed it "Komplete," the message was clear: Why go anywhere else for software instruments when everything you need is right here? Today's Komplete Ultimate bundles are the soft-synth equivalent of Waves Mercury. No other single virtual instrument publisher offers quite the breadth and depth that the Komplete series has consistently delivered since that first big blue box hit store shelves.

Product Comparison of all Komplete Versions

Every year or two when a new Komplete release looms, music message boards light up with users asking, "If I have version X of Komplete, what would I gain by upgrading to version Y?" This hasn't always been an easy question to answer, because Native Instruments preserves very little information about older products on their site. To satisfy my own curiosity, and to help my fellow KLFs (Komplete Lovin' Fools), I spent a fair amount of time compiling the contents and release information of every Komplete bundle since the series debuted.

Click image to view the Komplete product version comparison worksheet.

You can find my detailed product comparison of all Komplete versions right here. It lists every major version of every individual product that was ever included in a Komplete bundle, and when each product was introduced or discontinued. The Legend tab describes the color scheme used in the worksheet (green products are first-appearance-in-Komplete, red products last-appearance/discontinued, etc.) The Release Details tab gives detailed stats on each Komplete bundle (month and year of release, price, number of products, etc.).

The worksheet and its tabs represent the raw data, and what follows is some various trivia and analysis of Komplete over time.

the only thing that scares me about going Komplete 11 to Komplete 11 Ultimate is the sample file sizes.  (500 G)

That will be bigger than the partition size on my SSD.  Would have to remove a lot.

I'm fixing to upgrade to the select.  I went from Heavyocity stuff on sale for a couple of hundred, then Kontakt on sale, then Maschine jam last year.  I'll upgrade to 11 for another $199 this Nov.  It is a lot of money but spread over 5 years or so.  Oh, and Dronar and Texture Mosaic.  But like HV, I love those drone machines in Kontakt.  I don't need anymore acoustic instrument libraries, but will take them.

it's £10 cheaper for folks living in the UK..  I feel a game of "price match tennis" coming on ;-)

luckily HHB / Source is 10 minutes up the road for starters.. lets see if they can beat it , then I'll ask DV etc.

That's why I went with standard Komplete 11 rather than Ultimate. I am hoping to pick up some other audio libraries in the sales over the next couple of months and will need to keep some space for them on my sample data SSD

By the way, nice work and thanks TheSteven

don't get this thing "need" of SSD for sample libs, sure it's faster but the majority of things use sample wise don't go mad on the streaming (and of course there is bounce as well) . but I use an external usb3 powered drive on a laptop.. and the desktop has a big drive on , soley for samples.

Not bad. That's a 69% discount off full retail!

The only question that remains is, will any resellers be able to beat that price on Black Friday?  NI price is good until Nov 30th, so may wait a bit to see.

The thing is, don't actually NEED this, but the price is almost a no-brainer.  Already have a couple hundred GB of samples, so this my push me to get a bigger sample drive, a bigger backup drive, and ... and ... more stuff to fill up the new drive, LOL!!!

My only concern for my 3-step GAS relief plan is download speed.  If I have to fully download, install and activate one by one to qualify for the next step, there isn't enough time between now and the 30th

And once I have Kontakt, Komplete is $199.50 ...
That makes Komplete 11 4 bills instead of 6.

BobF
Unless I'm not looking at this correctly, one could go one step further and get to K11U for 7 bills total
Kontakt 5 = $200
Upgrade to K11 = $200
Upgrade to K11U = $300
Total = $700

I wanted to go this route and asked their support exact this question - "Will 50% discount of Kontakt to KOMPLETE 11 upgrade applied to new discounted Kontakt purchase?". They are probably too busy now so I still don't have any response. Went ahead and bought Kontakt (but for $124.50 instead of 200 because I was eligible for grossgrade from my Galaxy Vintage D). Now, even being logged to my account with Kontakt already purchased I don't have option to upgrade it to Komplete for $200 (((

EDIT: I needed to add serial number to "Native Access" to unlock "Upgrade" option. Thanks for NI support!

No shipping, I would download it (I think). Anyway, not sure I'm gonna do it, even that that price, because I don't really see anything I would gain over KU10 that I really want or need. Una corda is nice, but will i use it. And Flesh, Reaktor, I really don't use Reaktor at all now. The symphony essentials might be nice, but I do have Kirk Hunter's Diamond Orchestra, and haven't even been using that. I tend to use my Session Horns Pro a lot already. So I will ponder a little while. There's other stuff I would like that makes this a bit less of a deal for me. Then again...

I’ve been waiting, as suggested, to buy Komplete 11 Ultimate for the first time. The only NI product I own is Traktor. The $700 deal above seems to be the best value so far.

I’d like to have the hard copy if possible. Please let me know if there is a more economical way to buy Komplete Ultimate than this deal.

Thanks,

After you get to Kontakt
you'll save even more by upgrade to K11 at Time Space,
and then, upgrade to K11U at NI if you want to avoid shipping
since it comes on a hard drive
