Nectar 2 Pitch Editor transport controls in Sonar Platinum?

Hello Everyone,
I've not posted on here before so apologies in advance if I miss something out.
I am running Sonar Platinum and I have Nectar 2 Production Suite, including their separate Pitch Editor module.

I find it easier to use for my purposes than the Sonar version of Melodyne but there is one problem: I can't get the pitch editor's transport buttons to work and the window does not scroll when captured audio is playing. This slows down workflow and is a draaaaag.

According to the manual (which I'd read before buying the product) this is supposed to happen via Rewire. When the manual's instructions didn't work, I contacted izotope tech support who said it would work if I followed their new instructions. It didn't so I wrote back. Then they told me they'd got it wrong and this function is not available in Sonar Platinum but it does work fine in X2 and X3 (see below).

I have two questions:
1. Has anyone else using Sonar Platinum managed to get the transport buttons in the Nectar pitch editor to work? If so, please share your method.

2. If it worked OK in X2 and X3, is this problem due to some limitation in Sonar Platinum which Cakewalk ought to fix (if it's a loss of functionality from previous versions)? If anyone from Cakewalk is reading this, could you please advise on when it might be fixed?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

P.S. I guess some of you may say, 'Why don't you use Melodyne? It's built into Sonar and follows with Sonar's transport controls. The answer is that I find the Sonar version really clunky and unfriendly to use. Maybe I'm missing something? It seems more like a limited demo that's trying to make you pay to upgrade to get the features you need to make it do what you want it to!

I apologize for any confusion here!
Upon further research, I’ve confirmed that using Nectar 2 Pitch Editor as a ReWire device is not supported in SONAR Platinum, as it has not been tested for compatibility in the most current versions of SONAR. If you have a previous version of SONAR, such as Sonar X2 or X3, you should be able to configure it accordingly.
You can still use Nectar 2 Pitch Editor as an audio effect, the steps of which were reviewed a couple emails ago, but this particular method will not allow you to control the SONAR transport via the Nectar 2 Pitch Editor plugin.
