Need Audio Help

Greetings,
Can someone direct me to an article that instructs me on how to hear the media effects played through the track while recording? Currently, when I add an effect into the Track, I can see it loaded and can edit the effect. However, I cannot hear the effect processed through the vocalist track while recording. What am I doing wrong? I can hear the effect during playback. I would like to have the effect heard during the recording as it sounds once the track is complete and in playback mode.

Thanks,
Sammy

If you enable the Input Echo button on the track you should hear the effect when recording.

Like rcklin said, turn on "Input Echo" on the track in question.
Keep in mind that some FX need to 'look ahead' and will create (sometimes significant) latency.  Not all FX can be used while tracking because of this.  You might want to test the VSTs for this before you start the session.

Thanks rcklin and gcolbert. Thanks also for the point on potential latency issues. I will keep that in mind as I test the various effects.
